Led by Grammy-nominated Artistic Director Craig Hella Johnson, the Festival's orchestra and chorus have received critical acclaim for their sensitivity and artistry from National Public Radio and Texas music critics. Over 50 events, 500 wines, 50 restaurants and 10,000+ attendees. | |

June 11-14, 2009 The world's largest Motorcycle Parade—as certified by the Guiness Book of World Records. Free live music in the heart of downtown. Major national bands (Hank Williams, Jr., Robert Earl Keen, Kentucky Headhunters, and more) will perform at the Travis County Expo Center and Rally Grounds. Hundreds of Motorcycle & accessory vendors. Estimated attendance 100,000. |

June 19-20, 2009 Why Steak and Grapes? Until the 1870s, herds of wild longhorn cattle roamed Brazos County, and were often gathered here and driven to markets in Houston and Galveston. June 12-14, 2009 The Texas Folklife Festival is the biggest cultural celebration in Texas! More than 40 different cultural groups in Texas are represented at the festival, and each year, more than 250 participants come together to celebrate their culture and heritage. Located on the grounds of the Institute of Texan Cultures on the UTSA HemisFair Park Campus, the annual three-day event showcases the Lone Star State's diversity and rich heritage through a wide variety of ethnic food, music, dance, arts and crafts. |
