2/3/10 Austin, TX Huston-Tillotson University Blues and Jazz Concert

Huston-Tillotson University Blues and Jazz Concert is an annual event that features local musicians who donate their time in support of the University's goal of providing a quality education for students and enhancing the fledgling instrumental music program for those interested in jazz.

The concert is a fundraiser for the University. Musicians donate their time to support the concert. Music will include blues, jazz, big band and more.

2/13/10 Kerrville, TX Original Team Roping Association See cowboys work in an exhilarating roping competition.
2/20/10 Austin, TX

Carnaval Brasileiro

Carnaval Brasileiro is now the largest INDOOR Brazilian carnaval ball in the known universe. Live music, wacky costumes and non-stop dancing make this Austin's biggest, and longest running party. Local act Academicos Da Opera consists of 35 drummers and 15 dancers in totally nutty costumes.

Theatrical 'Sentimental Journey' of the Big Band Era in America. With sounds of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and many more.

3/28/10 Kerrville, TX Marvin Hamlisch

Hamlisch has received three Oscars, four Grammys, four Emmys, three Golden Globes, a Tony & a Pulitzer Prize. He is famous for composing A Chorus Line, They're Playing Our Song, The Goodbye Girl, The Way We Were, The Sting, & Ice Castles.

There's Something in the Water

Musical acts include: Michael Fracasso, Joel Melton, Alton and Sue Watson, Bill Lewis, Wendy Allyn, Susan Herndon, Michael Douglas Bray, Daniel Joseph, John Fullbright

Songwriters in the Americana, Folk, and Alt-Country genres unite for a fun half-day festival adjacent to the Regency wooden suspension bridge. The fun begins Friday night before under the awning of White Wolf Trading Post. After the stage performances, the party continues all Saturday night.

4/17-4/18/10 Kerrville, TX Peter Schickele and his alter ego.... P.D.Q Bach

Composer, musician, and satirist Peter Schickele is internationally recognized as one of the most versatile artists in the field of music. He creates his own richly derivative comic works that have jokes on multiple levels.

Hours: 17th @ 7:30pm - 18th @ 2pm

4/30-5/2/10 Luckenbach, TX Hill Country Run Motorcycle Rally

Musical acts include: Classie Ballou, Spare Parts, Omar & The Howlers, and more...

14th annual event. Fun new things are planned for Friday, including the Hill Country Ride and first ever Luckenbach Shuffle. Good times, food, bike games, Hill Country road trip, great music line-up, Cowboy Breakfast (Saturday & Sunday morning), Sunday service and other good times.

Kerrville Folk Festival

Musical acts include: Slaid Cleaves, Ronny Cox, Jack Williams, Jimmy LaFave, The Burns Sisters, Terri Hendrix, Caroline Aiken, Band of Heathens, Eclectica, Porterdavis, Tom Prasada-Rao, Red Molly, Greg Trooper and many more.

5/28-5/29/10 Fredericksburg, TX Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival

Bands scheduled to appear include Eleven Hundred Springs, Blanco Zydeco, and T-Broussard & The Zydeco Steppers.

Held on Fredericksburg's Marktplatz. Louisiana styled music & food. Crawfish, jambalaya, boudin plus red beans and of course some Texas favorites, too. Third annual gumbo cook-off - come vote for your favorite team! Washer pitching on Saturday, arts and crafts, fun children's area with jumping castles, face painting, and rock wall.
