This is the 25th anniversary to the Texas Storytelling Festival. Concerts include Friday and Saturday evening concerts with award-winning tellers, Thursday night Ghost Tales, Sunday morning Sacred Stories, and a Saturday afternoon Liars Contest. Individual concert tickets, day passes and weekend passes are available. |

A Parade will be at 10 Saturday Morning along Main Street in Downtown. We are excited to be able to bring to you an old fashioned Chuck Wagon Cook-Off, mesquite fired on open pit in Trojan Park. Plate lunches available from Noon to 1PM on Saturday and judging results at 4PM.
Carnival is Friday Night & All Day Saturday. Car Show will be across Main Street from City Hall on Saturday from 10 to 2. |

Crape Myrtle Festival |
Being designated the Crape Myrtle Capital of Texas, Waxahachie offers some of the best Crape Myrtles in the State of Texas. Citizens celebrate freedom each year with the hometown parade followed by the spectacular fireworks display.
The tailgate party and fireworks have proved to be very popular. The gates open at 6 p.m. July 3 in the parking lot of Lumpkins Stadium as spectators bring lawn chairs and barbecue grills to cook out before or during the show. The band will take the stage at 7 p.m. for a concert presented by Chicago Title Insurance Co. Starting around 9 p.m. Radio station KBEC-AM (1390) will broadcast the H-E-B Fireworks with patriotic music.
The Crape Myrtle Festival and Parade are free to the public.
