Texas Storytelling Festival

25 of some of the best storytellers who have graced the stage of the Texas Storytelling Festival in the last 25 years. These include Tim Tingle, Elizabeth Ellis, Jeannine Pasini Beekman, Barbara McBride-Smith, Gayle Ross, DeCee Cornish and Tom McDermott

This is the 25th anniversary to the Texas Storytelling Festival. Concerts include Friday and Saturday evening concerts with award-winning tellers, Thursday night Ghost Tales, Sunday morning Sacred Stories, and a Saturday afternoon Liars Contest. Individual concert tickets, day passes and weekend passes are available.

A Parade will be at 10 Saturday Morning along Main Street in Downtown. We are excited to be able to bring to you an old fashioned Chuck Wagon Cook-Off, mesquite fired on open pit in Trojan Park. Plate lunches available from Noon to 1PM on Saturday and judging results at 4PM.

Carnival is Friday Night & All Day Saturday. Car Show will be across Main Street from City Hall on Saturday from 10 to 2.

The annual Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival features original handmade arts/crafts, food, children's area, live entertainment, bluebonnet souvenirs and free trail maps to bluebonnet trails.

Being designated the Crape Myrtle Capital of Texas, Waxahachie offers some of the best Crape Myrtles in the State of Texas. Citizens celebrate freedom each year with the hometown parade followed by the spectacular fireworks display.

The tailgate party and fireworks have proved to be very popular. The gates open at 6 p.m. July 3 in the parking lot of Lumpkins Stadium as spectators bring lawn chairs and barbecue grills to cook out before or during the show. The band will take the stage at 7 p.m. for a concert presented by Chicago Title Insurance Co. Starting around 9 p.m. Radio station KBEC-AM (1390) will broadcast the H-E-B Fireworks with patriotic music.

The Crape Myrtle Festival and Parade are free to the public.

EDS Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival

The EDS Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival, a spectacular three day event, will provide spectators an action packed weekend. This weekend event offers something for everyone; entertainment on two stages, Saturday evening spectacular fireworks show, special kids activities and, of course, the incredible hot air balloons.

Waco Cultural Arts Fest

An eclectic variety of fine art from 50 juried artists including ceramics, painting, photography, woodcarvings, glassworks, jewelry and multi-media compositions. "Arts for All" hands-on arts activities and interactive arts demonstrations for the entire family.
