Sherman, TX Hot Summer Nights

Sherman rocks... and swings and shuffles and polkas.

On Thursday nights during the summer, bring the kids, the lawn chairs, your granny and your dog to enjoy live music. Music starts at 7:30 and goes until the performers are pooped.

7/31/10 Brenham, TX Hot Nights, Cool Tunes

Bring your lawn chairs and meet us at the Courthouse Square at 7:00 p.m. for a good time! Each weekend a different band will perform for your listening pleasure. Bring the whole family to experience Downtown Brenham with our summer concert series. Children will enjoy dancing to the music and even riding the Hot Nights Train! This event is free to the public.

Come and enjoy summer evenings under the stars in beautiful Beckert Park. Listen to live music from some of the top area jazz musicians while you picnic or dine in one of the great Addison Circle restaurants.

Schulenburg Festival

Live music throughout the weekend along with food booths and ice cold refreshments. There are tournaments for Ladies & Men's softball, volleyball, golf and 3 on 3 basketball. A Fun-Run~Run for Scouting. There are cook-offs for Chili, Beans, Bar-B-Q and Bloody Marys. An Arts, Crafts, antiques and collectibles show. Go-Texan Events, Horseshoe pitching, cow chip & egg toss. Tricycle races and a kiddie parade.

Addison, TX Summer Salsa

Come and enjoy summer evenings under the stars in beautiful Beckert Park. Listen to live music from some of the hottest names in salsa while you picnic or dine in one of the great Addison Circle restaurants. Salsa dance lessons are presented by the Dance Council prior to the concert.

8/9-8/14/10 Alvarado, TX Pioneers and Old Settlers Reunion

Includes the Parade and Queen Contest Monday, the Baby Contest Tuesday, a musical Wednesday, a christian and gospel band Thursday, a Fiddler contest Friday, and a country/western band Saturday. There will be a large carnival on the Midway all week.

Navasota Blues Festival in memory of Mance Lipscomb

For two days local, regional and out-of-state blues musicians gather to celebrate the heritage of blues music and honor Navasota songster Mance Lipscomb. Proceeds benefit related activities and the Mance Lipscomb Scholarship Fund, which gives scholarships not only to a deserving high school graduate, but also continuing education scholarships to previous winners still pursuing an education.

BBQ, brisket, chicken, ribs and sausage; fried shrimp and catfish, baked potatoes; roasted corn-on-the cob; beer, wine coolers, set-ups, sodas and bottled water and much more! BYOB - liquor and wine only.

The Prazka Pout welcomes Czechs from Texas and around the U.S. to celebrate with food, games and live music throughout the day. Music will be provided by the Red Ravens, Bobby Jones, and Harry Czarnek.

Featuring the best country music in Texas and will continue the tradition of the popular contest where local restaurants and individuals vie for the title of Best Margarita, Salsa, Queso and/or Guacamole.

Sounds of Lewisville Concert Series

Every year families and friends gather on Tuesday evenings to enjoy great musical entertainment. Plan to bring the family and enjoy some of the area's best bands under the stars of Lewisville. Weekly concerts include a variety of bands from funk and country music to rock and polka.

InTouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival

The InTouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival, a spectacular three day event, will provide spectators an action packed weekend. This weekend event offers something for everyone; entertainment on two stages, Saturday evening spectacular fireworks show, special kids activities and, of course, the incredible hot air balloons.

Come see the balloons as they launch daily at 7AM and 6PM (weather permitting).

Waco Cultural Arts Fest

An eclectic variety of fine art from 50 juried artists including ceramics, painting, photography, woodcarvings, glassworks, jewelry and multi-media compositions. The Concert Stage features more than 200 local, regional and national entertainers including childrenís entertainment during the two-day celebration. "Arts for All" hands-on arts activities and interactive arts demonstrations for the entire family. Over 10 different menus are offered at Arts Fest food courts along with soda, specialty beers, wine and margaritas.

McKinney Texas meets Bavaria as Oktoberfest comes to life in Historic Downtown McKinney. McKinney Main Street, supporting sponsors and the shops in downtown McKinney will host non-stop activities in the heart of our great city. It's all to celebrate the popular tradition which began in Munich, Germany 200 years ago.

Germans have a special word — Gemütlichkeit — suggesting a warm atmosphere of open and generous hospitality and that is how we will welcome families and friends during this year's two-day event in Historic Downtown McKinney. Guests can enjoy authentic German beer, wine and all of the German cuisine that you would find if you were right in the middle Munich. The kiddos will have a ball at Oktoberfest with interactive activities and offerings including face painting, pony rides and arts and crafts of all types.

Western Day Festival

Find the cowboy in you at Lewisville's annual Western Day festival in Old Town Lewisville. Bring your family to this western event, designed to showcase Lewisville's rich history.

Festival stages will feature live country music and entertainment while festival-goers partake in the unique arts and crafts vendors, gunfight re-enactments, trick ropers, Tailwaggers Ranch, antique car show, national tamale-eating championship, and longhorn cattle drive.

Children's activities include a petting zoo, playland area, facepainters, sketch artists, TootallTex, and more.

The 14th Annual Texas Country Reporter Festival features artists, craftsmen and chefs from Texas Country Reporter, games for the kids, autographs, and everything Texas Country.

Live music on stage all day, including Texas hit musician B.J. Thomas! Other artists include The Prairie Dogs, Blues Boy Willie, and Mariachi 'L'.
